28,711 Yards, 239 Touchdowns, 183 Interceptions

Another quarterback that doesn’t come up enough in current quarterback conversations is former star Len Dawson. He was a long-time Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, and also played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns. As is the case with the older quarterbacks, his numbers simply cannot be compared to today’s game, but he was a dominant player in his day.

He was a seven-time Pro Bowler throughout his career, and also was a two-time first-team All-Pro. Dawson was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1987, and that solidified his NFL legacy. His stats aren’t amazing by today’s standards, but he was a very consistent and dominant quarterback that led his team to two Super Bowl appearances and won one of them.

Dawson recorded a career record of 99-60-8 in his career, and also had a 5-3 total record in the postseason. His best season came in 1964 when he threw for 2,879 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 18 interceptions.
