Brett Lawrie surprised the 6-year-old Toronto Blue Jays fan who was devastated about his departure and took her out for pizza.

A young Blue Jays fan was devastated that Brett Lawrie was traded. She doesn’t care about projections or what the move did to bolster Toronto’s lineup. She isn’t interested in the dynamics of the American League East or the fact that the Toronto front office might be taking advantage of Billy Beane‘s bizarre moves this MLB off-season.

Nope. She just cares that her favorite player got traded, and she hated it.

As a reminder, here is the now-viral video of Ameilia reacting to the news that Lawrie had been traded to Oakland Athletics as part of the deal that sent Josh Donaldson to Toronto.

It would appear that Lawrie caught wind of the video, and so he did a little something to make that young fan’s day.

Check out the photos of Lawrie and young Ameilia.
