San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks

Seattle is still trying to keep pace with the Arizona Cardinals, but somehow Bruce Arians team keeps on overcoming injury and bad luck to get wins.

So for the defending Super Bowl Champion Seahawks, they are going to have to win and get themselves a Wild Card spot.  There are three teams really looking for two spots—Seattle of course, Detroit and Dallas, though a win keeps San Francisco in the conversation.

A loss pretty much kills the Niners though, so they will not take this game lightly. Neither will the Seahawks of course, especially with Dallas and Detroit right there.

The home field advantage for Seattle isn’t quite what it once seemed to be, but the crowd will be in full force Sunday as they take on San Francisco, with a chance to knock them out of the playoffs. Seattle’s defense has been playing much better of late, and Russell Wilson has been doing a fine job making throws when he needs to while handing the ball off to Marshawn Lynch.

Meanwhile, San Francisco’s defense has been so-so lately and Colin Kaepernick hasn’t been lighting the world on fire this year. On top of that, they don’t seem to be able to run the ball effectively and it could be their head coach is being pushed out.

All that makes it a little tough to gauge what to expect from the Niners, but you know they won’t go down without a fight.
