Frank Gore Out Rest Of Game vs Seahawks With Concussion
By Jack Crosby
49ers running back Frank Gore has been ruled out the rest of the game against the Seahawks on Sunday after suffering a concussion.
The Sean Francisco 49ers look like the old 49ers on Sunday against the Seahawks, although they will have to go the entire second half without veteran running back Frank Gore.
Late in the first half Gore was trying to throw a block, when he basically knocked himself out. Because of that, they have ruled him out for the rest of the game.
Near the end of the first half the 49ers were driving and looking for more points when Colin Kaepernick was under some serious pressure in the pocket. He was able to elude the pressure, roll to his right and get the pass off to the fullback for the first down.
Well, on that same play, Gore rolled to the right with Kaepernick and tried to help by throwing a block. However, Gore lowered his head just a bit too low on the play and immediately hit the ground. For a few minutes the situation appeared scarier than it actually was as member from both the Seahawks and 49ers surrounded him.
He was eventually taken to the sideline where it was determined that he did indeed suffer a concussion.
