2. Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers are actually beginning to win some basketball games with Kobe Bryant taking the lead role, and he could use some help in order to keep the winning ways going. Lance Stephenson was a free agency target for the Lakers this past offseason, but they were too busy focusing on Carmelo Anthony to make a serious run at Stephenson. Now that he is on the trade block, it wouldn’t be surprising to see them take a look at him.

Stephenson would bring the type of attitude that Lakers fans want to see, and he would fit a need for the Lakers as well. He could immediately step in as a primary playmaker, and Byron Scott might even decide to play him at the point guard position sometimes.

It would certainly be a good fit for both sides, and Stephenson could be one of the big pieces to life after Kobe Bryant for the Lakers. There are plenty of pieces that the Lakers could move in a deal with the Hornets, and the two sides could definitely work something out. Watch out for the Lakers to get involved with these trade talks assuming the Hornets do move forward with them.
