1. Indiana Pacers

The most obvious trade destination for Lance Stephenson would be a move back to the Indiana Pacers. Adrian Wojnarowski said that the Pacers have already had trade discussions with the Hornets about a potential Stephenson trade, but that the talks haven’t gotten too far. It sounds like they want the Hornets to add a first round pick in order to make a trade.

That being said, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Larry Bird go all out to bring back one of his favorites. Stephenson fits perfectly into the Pacers’ system, and Frank Vogel would love to have him back on the court as well.

Indiana has had an awful season so far, and re-acquiring Stephenson would make them better immediately. His playmaking would be huge for them, and he would have the freedom to play his type of offense as well. The Pacers are without a doubt the best fit for him if he is indeed traded before the trading deadline.
