Tennessee Titans at Jacksonville Jaguars

If a primetime NFL game is played and nobody watches does the game still count? I’ve been watching NFL football for a long time and I’m not sure I ever remember such a dud of a match up. No offense to fans of the Titans and Jaguars, but can you honestly say that Charlie Whitehurst and Blake Bortles going head to head is something to get excited about? I tried finding some meaningful stats or trends regarding this game, but bottom line for me is that Jacksonville’s defense has been playing a little better in recent weeks, they are at home, and the Titans are down to their third string QB.

Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Redskins

The Eagles had a major setback against the Cowboys last week and need to bounce back this week against the Redskins. RG3 is now back in the starting lineup by default, but he’s not the story here. The Redskins are dead last in the NFL when it comes to the QB rating of opposing QBs. Basically, their pass defense is garbage and Chip Kelly’s passing attack is going to be looking to get back on track. When you factor in that Philly averages about 11 more points per game this one looks like it should be a road win for the Eagles.
