The Armchair Quarterback’s Guide To The NFL: Week 16
Buffalo Bills at Oakland Raiders
The Raiders are only averaging 15.2 points per game this season and now they have to face the hottest defense in the NFL. If the Bills can throw the best QB in the universe (Aaron Rodgers) off his game then I think rookie Derek Carr may be in for a long day. The Bills haven’t exactly been a high powered offense to date, but with the Raiders giving up over 27 points per game I think Kyle Orton and the Bills offense will put up more than enough points to get the job done as their defense puts the shackles on the Oakland offense.

Indianapolis Colts at Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys just dominated the Eagles to take control of the NFC East and the Colts have looked vulnerable in their last couple of games. This may lead some to think this game is the Cowboys to lose, but I think the hand injury to DeMarco Murray is a major factor in this one. If the run game isn’t as effective for Dallas this becomes a Tony Romo vs Andrew Luck passing shoot out. I think this game may actually revert to the kind of high scoring game that Dallas had last season. Andrew Luck already has a track record of being clutch in close games (think the playoff comeback against the Chiefs last season), meanwhile Romo’s history is coming up just short at the end. I’ll take Luck and the Colts in a high scoring but close game.
