During Saturday’s 4-0 win over the New Jersey Devils at the Prudential Center, Ovi pulled off a remarkable individual effort to score a goal of the year candidate. The goal ended a four-game scoring drought for the Capitals captain.
Ovechkin came flying down the ice, before spliting two Devils defenders with a toe drag between his legs.
He finished off the play with an off-balance top shelf shot by Cory Schneider and into the back of the net. It was a truly remarkable and beautiful goal.
Go ahead and try to top that one. We dare you.
