New England Patriots at New York Jets

Not a marquee matchup per se, but there is something on the line for both teams. For the Patriots, they want to avoid a letdown here at the end of the season, when the Denver Broncos have two winnable games left and could leapfrog them to the first seed.

The Patriots are going to be favored against both the Jets and Bills (especially with Buffalo at home), but the Bills might have a shot at the playoffs if they win out and will be a tough out while the Jets…

The Jets have nothing but pride to play for and even that didn’t do much against Tennessee. They won, but it’s not like they lit up the field. However this is likely Rex Ryan’s last home game and perhaps his last game against Bill Belichick, Tom Brady and New England. You don’t think that might fire up the Jets?

I’m not saying I think the Jets will win—but they could.

And if the Broncos win Sunday and then again in Week 17, the Patriots lose home field.
