Dwizzy “D12” Howard

Even though it was a tough decision to make, Dwight Howard made the right choice when he decided to play for the Houston Rockets instead of the Los Angeles Lakers. The supporting cast in Houston was perfect for Howard’s game when he first arrived, and now it’s gotten even better.

The Rockets have a bunch of players that can shoot from the perimeter such as James Harden, Jason Terry and Trevor Ariza to name a few, that give Howard the one on one matchup against centers that he thrives in.

Howard is currently averaging his usual numbers, 19.3 points, 11.9 rebounds and 2.3 blocks a game, but there aren’t many centers in the NBA that can do that nightly. Howard isn’t a dominant offensive player but when it comes to altering shots and making players think about driving in the paint he’s second to none.

The Rockets clog the paint and make opponents dare to out shoot them from the perimeter and it’s all because of Howard’s ability to close off the interior.
