3. Can They Get Consistent Pressure On QB?

The Denver Broncos went out this past offseason and improved their defense in a big way with the additions of DeMarcus Ware, T.J. Ward, and Aqib Talib. All three of those players have been key contributors this season, but the Broncos need their pass rush to step up a bit more moving forward.

Unfortunately for the Broncos, they were unable to record a single sack against Andy Dalton and the Bengals’ offense.

That is simply unacceptable for Denver, especially since they were going up against a turnover prone quarterback. They were still able to intercept one of Dalton’s passes, but he simply wasn’t pressured the way that would force him to make more mistakes. Having a consistent pass rush is something that legitimate Super Bowl contenders need to have.

Ware has recorded 10.0 sacks of his own, while fellow star pass rusher Von Miller has put up 13.0 sacks. The team as a whole has 38.0 sacks on the season, but not coming up in that area in a big game is a concern. Denver has the talent to get more consistent pressure on opposing quarterbacks, and the need to do that with the playoffs just a couple short weeks away.
