New York Jets at Miami Dolphins

I know the Dolphins are the better team here, but I have a theory on this game. I think even given all the Jets problems and that includes Rex Ryan’s shortcomings as a coach, that the Jets players genuinely love playing for Ryan. I think he’s one of those hard nosed, heart on his sleeve coaches that will have his players wanting to win this game more than the Dolphins will want this one after having been eliminated from playoff contention. Plus, Miami is ranked 23rd in rushing yards per carry allowed and the Jets love to run the football. The Dolphins only won by three points in their first match up and I think this time its the Jets turn to win a close one.

Chicago Bears at Minnesota Vikings

This game is a coin flip in my opinion. I still think the most talented unit on the field in this game is the Bears offense, but with the team all but having given up on Jay Cutler will he put much effort into this one? The real match up I’m looking forward to in this one is the emerging Teddy Bridgewater against the Chicago defense. Bridgewater has shown fantastic accuracy for a rookie and the Bears defense is abysmal, especially against the pass. I’ll admit that I’m pulling for Teddy and the Vikings in this one so I’ll take them by a point in a close game.
