4. Put Pressure On Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers is expected to be the NFL’s MVP this season, and the Green Bay Packers are depending on him to lead them to a victory against the Detroit Lions. He has had issues against defenses like the Lions, and struggled mightily in the Packers’ 19-7 loss to Detroit earlier this season.

The Detroit Lions’ defense is more than capable of getting to the quarterback, and they are going to be doing everything they can to put Rodgers on his back. They have 41.0 sacks on the season, and Green Bay is going to have to keep Ndamukong Suh, Ezekiel Ansah, George Johnson, and Jason Jones away from him in particular. Green Bay has a talented offensive line, but they have had their issues protecting Rodgers this year.

If the Lions are able to get to Rodgers and sack him around three or four times, that could be just enough to interrupt the Packers’ offensive rhythm. Detroit has to find a way to get to Rodgers, and force him to make one of his very few mistakes.
