Have Hope

The biggest takeaway from the Miami Dolphins season is that the organization wants to win. Owner Stephen Ross has hired a lot of people in the organization including Dennis Hickey and retaining head coach Joe Philbin to keep continuity and his plans aren’t going to fail. Even the Dolphins Hall of Fame quarterback, Dan Marino, is back with the Dolphins front office and is playing a huge influence within the culture of the team.

With the franchise moving forward and getting stronger together the Dolphins could potentially see a lot of growth.

Even though there is no consolation prizes for competing, the Dolphins went toe to toe with the giants in the NFL including the Green Bay Packers, New England Patriots, Denver Broncos, Detroit Lions, Baltimore Ravens and San Diego Chargers. The Dolphins fought hard in most games and almost pulled off victories in games they had no business winning.

However, almost isn’t good enough and next year the 8-8 expectations should get blown through the roof. Maybe I was a bit premature saying that the Dolphins would win the AFC East, but next year we shouldn’t have a small mindset when it comes to this roster. The talent that’s on this team is going to get better next year and they will compete for the AFC East.

We haven’t even mentioned the injuries the Dolphins suffered this season including Knowshon Moreno, Louis Delmas, Branden Albert, and Cortland Finnegan.

Have hope.
