8. Indianapolis Colts

While the Indianapolis Colts do have one of the most talented offenses in the NFL, they still haven’t shown that they can defeat the best teams in the league. They have come up with wins over the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals, but they have also been blown out by the Dallas Cowboys, Pittsburgh Steelers, and New England Patriots.

Andrew Luck has taken the next step towards joining the elite group of quarterbacks, but he still has a little ways to go. They have the top passing offense in the NFL, averaging 305.9 yards per game, but their defense is in the middle of the pack at 12th against the pass and 18th against the run. The defense is going to be what decides how far the Colts go, and Luck has to take care of the football.

Indianapolis has the ability to defeat the best teams in the league, but they have to actually do it on the field. Until that happens, they can’t be ranked higher than this.

It is going to be a very entertaining game between the Colts and Bengals in the wildcard game on Sunday. Both teams are talented, but the Colts have a lot to prove against one of the more dangerous defenses in the NFL and a rookie running back in Jeremy Hill who has been playing extremely well this year.
