2014 NFL Playoffs: Ranking The Playoff Field

5. Dallas Cowboys
Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys are in a position that they haven’t found themselves in for quite some time, and are looking to make a run at their first Super Bowl since 1995.
The most obvious reason for the Cowboys taking the massive step that they have this season has been the play of star running back DeMarco Murray. He has finally stayed healthy for the most part, outside of a small broken bone in his hand. Murray racked up 1,845 yards and 13 touchdowns throughout the course of the regular season.
Due to the huge season that Murray has had, Romo has seen a major load lifted off of his shoulders. He is now able to focus on a balanced offense, and making key plays through the air rather than the entire offense having to come through the passing game.
Making a run at the Super Bowl isn’t going to be easy, as they will have to knock off the Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, and likely the Seattle Seahawks. That being said, they have defeated the Seahawks on the road earlier this year, and have also defeated teams like the Philadelphia Eagles and Indianapolis Colts. Dallas looks to be a legitimate contender, and they are playing with a lot of confidence.
Next: 4. Green Bay Packers
