NFC Wild Card: Cardinals’ Ted Ginn Jr. fumbles away kickoff (Video)
By Sam Richmond
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. made a critical blunder, as he fumbled a Carolina Panthers kickoff in the third quarter of the NFC Wild Card.
Having just given up the go-ahead touchdown, the Arizona Cardinals had already lost control of their NFC Wild Card game against the Carolina Panthers. Then, the ensuing kickoff happened and Ted Ginn Jr. put the Cardinals in an even bigger hole.

The Panthers forced and recovered a Ginn fumble, allowing them to start their next drive at Arizona’s 3-yard line.

Carolina would capitalize on Ginn’s error moments later with a 1-yard touchdown pass from Cam Newton to Mike Tolbert, giving the Panthers a 27-14 lead.
The fumble was a terrible break for the Cardinals, especially considering how badly the team has struggled on the offensive end. There’s little reason to believe a Cardinals team that entered the fourth quarter with just 62 offensive yards is capable of coming back from being two scores down.
Ginn Jr. signed with the Cardinals this past offseason after spending the 2013 season with Carolina.
