Popular actor Matt Damon made a confident Super Bowl prediction about the New England Patriots. Can they get the job done for him?

The New England Patriots didn’t look anything like Super Bowl contenders early on in the season, and many were questioning whether or not they could look to trade Tom Brady. Obviously that didn’t end up being the case, and Brady played MVP caliber football down the stretch to get the Patriots to 12-4.

Those early season struggles, however, did not scare away actor/superfan Matt Damon, who still believes the Patriots, who are the No. 1 seed in the AFC, will be able to advance to the Super Bowl and claim the Lombardi Trophy.

“I think there’s a lot of good competition there,” Matt Damon said at LAX this weekend, via TMZ. “But I’m a big believer in the Patriots. Patriots are going all the way.”

New England had a first-round bye week after winning the AFC East, and they were watching Saturday’s game between the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers closely. Since Baltimore won, they will be the team who makes the trip to Foxboro next weekend.
