NFL Playoffs: Predicting the divisional round

Dallas Cowboys vs. Green Bay Packers
The Dallas Cowboys were able to defeat the Detroit Lions yesterday afternoon, but not without drama. There has been a lot of talk about the missed pass interference call late in the game, but nonetheless the Cowboys are still heading into Lambeau Field to face the Green Bay Packers.
Green Bay is currently 8-0 at home this season while the Cowboys are 8-0 on the road, which makes this an even more intriguing game.
Aaron Rodgers is a major concern for the Packers after they saw him carted off the field against the Detroit Lions in Week 17. He has had two weeks to rest up for the game, and is ready to lead his high-powered offense up against a very poor Dallas defense. The Cowboys cannot allow him to beat them with big plays through the air, and they have to figure out how to put pressure on him and force him to move around on his injured calf.
Tony Romo on the other hand has a much improved Packers’ defense to worry about. Clay Matthews and Julius Peppers have helped lead the Packers to 41 sacks this season, and are going to look to make life difficult for Romo. DeMarco Murray is going to be used quite a bit, and Green Bay’s 23rd ranked run defense is going to be tested to the max.
While the Cowboys are hot right now and are playing great football, the Packers are still the better football team. They have the better quarterback, a better defense, and they have the ability to score points in bunches. Dallas definitely has a chance to come away with a victory, but they likely won’t be able to play that perfect game and Green Bay will move on to the NFC Championship.
