The Minnesota Wild are introducing vending machines full of beer on Thursday, making them the best hockey team in the NHL as far as we’re concerned.

The Minnesota Wild are having a decent season, as they currently find themselves at 18-15-5, the 11th best record in the Western Conference.

But the Wild should be considered the best team in the entire NHL as far as we’re concerned due to the team being set to introduce beer can vending machines on Thursday.

ESPN’s Darren Rovell has visual proof:

KNSI has more details about the new way of serving beer:

More from Minnesota Wild

"The Xcel’s new Budweiser Smart Vending Machine is the first in any entertainment venue in the world, according to a news release from the team. The vending machine will dispense 25-ounce cans of Budweiser: it’ll cost $13 for the can. It’s similar to the self-serve beer machines that debuted at Target Field last summer, although those beers come on tap. And just like at Twins games, there will be someone checking ID’s before they make a purchase at Xcel."

$13 for a can of beer sure is a steep price to pay, but we’re betting fans will be willing to do so in order to test out the new machine.

It’s undoubtedly a good idea by the Wild. The machines will give consumers a more interactive experience and it should allow them to get their drinks easier. The only concern is that the machine would shake up the beer, but we’re going to assume the machine is built to minimize those effects.

The machines will debut Thursday when the team takes on the Chicago Blackhawks at 8:00 p.m ET. We suggest anyone in the area or close by purchases tickets as soon as possible because… beer.
