College Basketball: Top 10 2015 NBA draft prospects
By Bryce Olin
9. Montrezl Harrell, Louisville Cardinals
NBA Doppelganger: Kenneth Faried
Louisville’s Montrezl Harrell is one of my favorite players in college basketball. There are few players in the country who bring his fire, energy, and tenacity that Harrell does on a game-by-game basis.

Harrell’s limitations are obvious. He’s only 6-foot-8, and he can’t make shots outside of 15-feet consistently.
But he’s a freakin’ firecracker shot out of a cannon on top of a hydrogen bomb!
In the NBA, Harrell’s size puts him into the small forward, power forward hybrid position. I foresee Harrell being the next Kenneth Faried, an energy guy off the bench, who will develop a midrange jumper as his career goes on.
The problem is there’s a very fine line between being “The Manimal” and being in the D-League. Athletically, Harrell’s an NBA talent, but we’ll see if he ever develops into good NBA player. The potential is there; it’s just about being placed in the right situation.
