Former MLB starting pitcher Roy Halladay decides to ‘make a funny’ by the roller coasters.

Roy Halladay was a serious baseball talent. He was such a serious talent he earned the nickname “Doc” for how he came to carve out hitters left and right.

Halladay would buckle their knees with a filthy breaking ball on one pitch and go rough, high and inside on another. The cities of Toronto and Philadelphia know this all too well.

No wonder his warm and fuzzy inner workings didn’t showcase themselves on the baseball diamond during his 16-year phenomenal career.

Today though, Halladay let us in on a little treat as he played the role of prankster.

While out somewhere near a roller coaster, looks like a theme park of some sort, Halladay snapped this beauty:

A Philadelphia Phillies fan and apparently a Doc Halladay fan sporting his familiar number 34 jersey became the victim of his good humor. While watching the roller coaster ride, Halladay had somebody take a photo with the innocent onlooker without his knowledge.

First of all, sure it’s funny, but how does that fan feel right now realizing he was that close to an athlete he admires without having a chance to meet him?

So close…yet so far, far away.

This prank was exactly what the good doctor ordered.
