Mike Shanahan

And then we get to the wild-card of the group, Mike Shanahan.

Although distant from Denver at the moment, Shanahan is no stranger to the city, the team and the owner. He coached John Elway from 1995-2008 which saw two Super Bowls head their way. For obvious reasons, his name cannot be overlooked.

How does Manning feel about Shanahan though?

There is very little there between Shanahan and Manning. Yes, Mike is an offensive guy, but does he have what it takes to relent power to Manning and the way he wants to fun “his” offense? This hire could setup a power struggle nobody in Denver would want to endure.

If Manning does decide to call it a career, Shanahan’s name could get very hot, very quickly through the Broncos’ organization.
