Toronto Raptors

Reason: Can DeMar Derozan lead the Raptors?

One of the most underrated teams in the NBA is none other than the Toronto Raptors.

On November 28 when DeMar Derozan got injured the Toronto Raptors had the first place record in the Eastern Conference boasting a great 13-3 record. The Raptors now are in the third spot in the Eastern Conference with a 27-14 record and don’t have too much work to do, as they are only six and half games behind the Atlanta Hawks for the best record in the East.

Thankfully the Raptors were able to hold the ship down as the leader of their team, DeMar Derozan, was out with a groin injury which kept him out of the lineup in the month of December.

Now that Derozan is back the Raptors look as if they can win the Eastern Conference. However because this team has great potential, they are going to have to rely on their All-Star, Derozan to lead them. If he can take the next step and get back to scoring 22 points or more as he did last season, then the Raptors absolutely have a chance to win the Eastern Conference.

Having Kyle Lowry and Jonas Valanciunas and to play basketball with on a nightly basis is a great supporting cast to have.
