NFL Power Rankings: 30 most dominant teams all-time

1999 St. Louis Rams
It seems as if everyone forgot about how good the 1999 St. Louis Rams were.
Oh right, because they weren’t supposed to be. Especially after a preseason that saw the Rams believe they lost their franchise quarterback, but instead found their true franchise leader in a former grocery store stock person in Kurt Warner.
With Warner taking over, “The Greatest Show on Turf” was born.
Warner, along with running back Marshall Faulk, had the greatest seasons of any payer of their position in 1999 as the Rams started the year 6-0 with Warner throwing three touchdowns in each of his first three games and then five against rival San Francisco in Week 4.
But while the Rams offense was awesome, their defense picked their game up as well. No team in the NFL in 1999 allowed fewer points than St. Louis and no team allowed fewer yards. The Rams allowed more than 75 yards rushing just five times in 1999 and on three racked more than 350 yards of offense in a game.
They were a team that could win by any means necessary, and, especially in the playoffs, did win by any means necessary.
