Pro Bowl rosters 2015: Team Irvin lineup
By Phil Watson
The Pro Bowl players have been divvied up by honorary captains Michael Irvin and Chris Carter, with Irvin’s selections taking on a familiar theme.
About the only Dallas Cowboys player Michael Irvin didn’t draft Wednesday night was Roger Staubach.
The Cowboys’ Hall of Fame wide receiver, one of the honorary captains for the Pro Bowl, spent his first selection on a Dallas player and didn’t stop there, winding up with five Cowboys on his roster.

And, shockingly, Jason Garrett—his former teammate and currently coach in Dallas—will be on the sidelines for Team Irvin.
Irvin tabbed Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo with his first pick and also drafted tackle Tyron Smith and tight end Jason Witten on Wednesday.
On the first day of the draft Tuesday—when the guys at the non-sexy positions were drafted—Irvin also took center Travis Frederick and guard Zack Martin.
Running back DeMarco Murray is one of the captains for Team Irvin, along with Cleveland Browns cornerback Joe Haden.
Irvin’s second pick was wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. of the New York Giants, who made the catch of the year against Dallas with his ridiculous one-hand, behind-the-head stunt in a Sunday night game.
“The Playmaker” went with Carolina Panthers inside linebacker Luke Kuechly with his fourth pick after taking Smith in Round 3.
His next five picks included Miami Dolphins defensive end Cameron Wake, tight end Jimmy Graham of the New Orleans Saints, Denver Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller, Witten and tackle Joe Thomas of the Browns.
Next up was St. Louis Rams defensive end Robert Quinn, cornerback Vontae Davis of the Indianapolis Colts, Broncos strong safety T.J. Ward, outside linebacker Clay Matthews of the Green Bay Packers and Dolphins cornerback Brent Grimes.
Irvin stayed in the division with his next pick, taking Washington Redskins tackle Trent Williams, followed by free safety Eric Weddle of the San Diego Chargers, Baltimore Ravens outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil, quarterback Matthew Stafford of the Detroit Lions, Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan, running back Mark Ingram of the Saints and Denver running back C.J. Anderson.
Wide receivers Randall Cobb (Packers), Emmanuel Sanders (Broncos) and Golden Tate (Lions) were assigned to Team Irvin after Team Carter filled all of its slots. Also assigned to Team Irvin were defensive end DeMarcus Ware of Denver—a former Cowboy, Broncos cornerback Chris Harris, inside linebacker D’Qwell Jackson of Indianapolis and Colts strong safety Mike Adams, the last guy out of the green room.
On Tuesday, Team Irvin picked up return specialist Darren Sproles of the Philadelphia Eagles, San Diego special teamer Darrell Stuckey, punter Kevin Huber of the Cincinnati Bengals, Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri, fullback Marcel Reece of the Oakland Raiders, Frederick, New York Jets center Nick Mangold, Martin, guard Marshal Yanda of the Ravens, Chicago Bears guard Kyle Long, defensive tackle Aaron Donald of St. Louis, Jets defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson and defensive tackle Geno Atkins of Cincinnati.
The Pro Bowl will be played Sunday at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.
