1. Steph Curry

23.3 PPG, 8.1 APG, 4.8 RPG, 27.9 PER

Earlier this week, Curry admitted his mother, Sonya, fines him any time he commits more than three turnovers in a game. Well, it appears to be working. This season, Curry is averaging 3.2 turnovers per game, which is down from 3.8 turnovers per game last season.

That’s not the only place Curry has improved this season.

Curry is now a good defender at point guard. He’s not the defensive liability he used to be.

Curry is better in almost every aspect of his game this season. Although his stats are down a bit, Curry is a much better all-around player, and he’s more efficient.

This season, Curry is shooting 50 percent from the field compared to 47 percent for his career.

While the race for MVP has been close, in the end, Curry is the best player on the best team, and that’s what matters through the first half of the season.

If the award were handed out today, Curry would win the award, but there’s still half the season left to play.

I guess we’ll just have to see what happens.
