Star Lord vs Captain America: Superheroes make Superbowl bet for charity

Star Lord and Captain America made a bet on the Super Bowl.

Star Lord and Captain America may fight against evil in the Marvel universe, but during the football season they can be found fighting each other.

Chris Pratt, who plays Star Lord in last summer’s blockbuster hit Guardians of the Galaxy, is a Seattle Seahawks fan. While not surprisingly, Chris Evans, who plays Captain America in the Avengers movies, is a New England Patriots fan.

During a back and forth on Twitter earlier this week, the two butted heads, exchanging jeers and insults regarding the other’s favorite team.

The exchange then escalated when Evans called Pratt out to up the ante on his strong words.

Pratt laid the cards on the table.

Might not be too much of a wager for Pratt seeing as he loves visiting children’s hospitals dressed up as everyone’s favorite intergalactic hero.

The children’s charities benefiting from this bet are the Seattle Children’s Hospital and Christoper’s Haven in Boston.

No matter who wins or loses this Superbowl, the children win. Which is a pretty awesome thing.

The XLIX Superbowl between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots is happening February 1st at 5:30 PM CT.
