Which three things must Charlotte Hornets guard Lance Stephenson fix to turn around his slow first half of the season?

Lance Stephenson was a very popular name on the free agent market this past offseason, and he ended up signing a three-year deal with the Charlotte Hornets. The Indiana Pacers saw him grow in each of his seasons with them, and were hoping that he would choose to re-sign on a long-term contract to remain in Indiana.

Unfortunately for Stephenson, it appears that he may have made a mistake in leaving Indiana.

He has gotten off to a very slow start with the Hornets, and has been mentioned in trade talks quite often so far this season. Stephenson has already dealt with a groin injury that sidelined him for a good chunk of games, and is now coming off of the bench in a much smaller role than he expected. Charlotte doesn’t appear inclined to bring him back into the starting lineup at this time, and are likely still open to moving him if the right deal presents itself.

There are quite a few differences in Stephenson’s game this year and late last season than the game he had early on last year when he was playing his best basketball.

What three things must Stephenson fix in order to get his career back on track and right the ship after a nightmare start to the 2014-15 NBA season?
