Power Forward Picks

High Salary: With Aldridge out and Randolph playing in a probable blowout, Greg Monroe gets the nod in my first high-salary spot.  Monroe has been excellent in his last two games with 24 points and ten rebounds against the Magic on Wednesday after posting 16 points and 20 rebounds on Monday in Atlanta.  In both those games, Monroe totaled over 40 FanDuel points and has at least 35 FanDuel points in nine of his last ten.  Against the Bucks still-confusing power forward spot, look for Monroe to dominate again tonight.

High Salary: If Derrick Favors returns from his personal leave tonight for Utah, he’s in a nice spot to succeed against the Nets.  Before a rough game in Cleveland, Favors had posted three straight games with at least 30 FanDuel points.  Favors will need to fit into the rotation with Rudy Gobert and Enes Kanter, but as long as he gets his minutes, he should be able to be productive against Brooklyn this evening.

High Value: The Sixers have definitely been improving as of late, and Nerlens Noel has been a part of that when he’s been on the floor (he missed Wednesday’s game with the flu).  Noel has posted back-to-back games with over 30 FanDuel points and has reached that number in four of his last five contests.  While there is definitely a chance his minutes are reduced, he usually plays plenty even in blowout games.  Noel typically provides solid defensive stats and close to a double-double with points and rebounds.

High Value: The Blazers are still figuring out who will pick up LaMarcus Aldridge’s minutes and have had different starting lineups in the last two games while he’s been sidelined.  On Friday, Thomas Robinson did get the start and played well hauling in 12 rebounds to go with nine points on his way to 31.9 FanDuel points.  He burned many owners on Wednesday when he didn’t get the start, but it may be time to put that behind you since Robinson’s minutes should stay high with Nicolas Batum doubtful for tonight and Dorell Wright sliding over to play his more natural position at SF. Robinson is high risk in a fliud situation, but at 4,200 he’s still a great value if you’re saving your money to spend elsewhere.
