FanDuel Daily Picks: Fantasy Basketball Lineup, January 24
Center Picks
High Salary: The Pistons volatile C Andre Drummond has turned things around since a rough patch a couple weeks ago and has been dominating teams on the glass. In his last four games, Drummond has pulled in at least 15 rebounds per game on his way to at least 32 FanDuel points each night. I don’t think the Bucks have anyone who can slow him down, so I expect another big game from Drummond tonight coming off a monster night on Wednesday against Orlando when he scored 26 points to go with his 17 rebounds and finished with 56.9 FanDuel points.
High Salary: Jazz big-man Rudy Gobert has grown into a consistent contributor whether starting or coming off the bench. If he gets another start in place of Derrick Favors (status unknown due to personal leave), he has a great shot at a double-double and some solid block numbers. Even if he comes off the bench, he’s worth a look since he produces such solid numbers in a variety of categories. In his last five games, he has posted at least 25 FanDuel points three times and makes for a low-risk C play tonight against the Nets.
High Value: Another part of Utah’s frontcourt rotation coming up large lately has been Enes Kanter who struggled a bit after returning from injury but has posted huge numbers in his last two games. Kanter had 24 points and 17 rebounds Wednesday against Cleveland and followed that up with 23 points and 16 rebounds against the Bucks the next night. Both games were good for over 46 FanDuel points making him the Jazz center I prefer tongiht despite Gobert’s consistentcy. Kanter is still only 6,200 and a good value if you don’t spend big at the position.
High Value: If you decide to go extremely cheap at the Center spot, check out Portland big man Meyers Leonard who may get even more minutes depending on Chris Kaman’s availability tonight (questionable). With Kaman, Aldridge, Robin Lopez, and Joel Freeland all sidelined, Leonard may be the last big-man standing which could open up opportunity for the youngster who has flashed potential when he’s gotten playing time in the past.
