2. Miami Heat

The Miami Heat are another team that could be interested in acquiring a talent like Reggie Jackson. He would be a perfect addition alongside of Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, and would be the third dynamic player that the Heat need. It would be interesting to see what the Heat would have to give up in order to make the deal happening.

One possible trade could include Reggie Jackson, Ish Smith, and Kendrick Perkins heading to Miami in exchange for Norris Cole, Josh McRoberts, and Shabazz Napier. Miami would likely have to add a first-round pick at least to sweeten the deal, but Napier is a very solid point guard prospect.

Oklahoma City isn’t going to make a trade just to pull one off, but this deal is certainly something that they’d have to think about. Jackson has “star” potential, but not being able to afford him is a real concern. The James Harden situation comes to mind when thinking about Jackson’s next contract.

Miami is going to pursue a move or two at the deadline if they see a player that they like. Jackson seems like the type of fit that would be perfect for the Heat, and you can expect to see Pat Riley check in with the Thunder about his availability.
