4. Sacramento Kings

Another team to keep an eye on as the trade deadline draws closer is the Sacramento Kings, who have been looking at potential point guard upgrades nearly all season long. There were quite a few rumors about them being interested in Rajon Rondo prior to the season, but obviously that deal won’t happen with the Dallas Mavericks acquiring Rondo from Boston.

Reggie Jackson is more than capable of playing the shooting guard potential, and he would be a terror in the back-court with Darren Collison.

One trade that would make a lot of sense for the Kings to offer would be Derrick Williams, Ben McLemore, and Ramon Sessions in exchange for Reggie Jackson and Kendrick Perkins. Sacramento would need to add a future first round pick to the deal and possibly another piece, but they would be putting together a very dynamic back-court. Oklahoma City might not accept that trade offer, but it wouldn’t hurt to offer it.

Sacramento would be very wise to do what they can to acquire Jackson. Putting him on the court with both Rudy Gay and DeMarcus Cousins would put them right on the edge if not over the top as far as playoff contention in the Western Conference is concerned.
