Super Bowl 2015: Ranking all 48 Super Bowls
By Andrew Ross
48.) Super Bowl XXIV – San Francisco 49ers vs. Denver Broncos
The 49ers came into this game looking to win back-to-back championships, and they appeared to have accomplished that early on as they cruised to a 55-10 victory.
45 points remains as the biggest point differential in Super Bowl history, and 55 points from San Francisco is the most points a team has ever scored in a Super Bowl.
San Francisco scored an unbelievable two touchdowns each quarter, and they were led by Joe Montana who put on a clinic: 22/29 passing for 297 yards and five touchdowns.
Montana was awarded the game’s MVP honors after being the regular season MVP as well.
The 49ers also became the first team to ever win two straight Super Bowls with two different head coaches: Bill Walsh and George Seifert.
