Super Bowl 2015: Ranking all 48 Super Bowls
By Andrew Ross
29.) Super Bowl XXXVII – Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Oakland Raiders
It may have been Tampa Bay’s first ever Super Bowl appearance, but they sure looked like they had been there before as they defeated the Raiders 48-21.
Sometimes referred to as the “Gruden Bowl” since Jon Gruden’s new team was facing his old team, the Raiders never looked like a match for the Buccaneers.
Tampa Bay built a 34-3 lead largely due to forcing five interceptions from Rich Gannon and also sacking him five times.
Due to his two interceptions, Dexter Jackson became the third defensive back to win Super Bowl MVP.
Brad Johnson of Tampa Bay completed 18/34 passes for 215 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
Michael Pittman controlled things on the ground for the Buccaneers with 29 carries for 124 yards.
