5 things Russell Wilson must do to win Super Bowl 49
Stick to his game
Let’s be honest, he’s not exactly Drew Brees and he’s not exactly Michael Vick. But to force Russell to go one direction or the other in Super Bowl XLIX will in fact hurt, not help Seattle.
While he’s proven to be a better passer year-after-year in his three years in the NFL so far, Wilson has continued to prove that he can be a good runner as well, running for nearly 1,000 yards this year as well.
Wilson threw for 3,475 yards with 20 touchdowns and just seven interceptions during the regular season, while running for another 849 yards with six rushing touchdowns.
He’s going to throw from the pocket, something he mostly did against New England in 2012, and he’s going to run when needed. And that is the perfect recipe for a possible Hawks Super Bowl repeat.
