No. 7 Shannon Sharpe, Denver Broncos / Baltimore Ravens

If there were a Trash Talking Hall of Fame, Shannon Sharpe would be a first ballot inductee. Of course, he was also able to back up the talk with his play, which was also HOF-worthy. Eight Pro Bowls, four All Pro teams, named to the 1990s All Decade team.

Sharpe was an undersized tight end, at 6′ 2″ and 225 lbs. Sharpe was a late 7th round pick in the 1990 draft out of Savannah State. Sharpe is another great tight end with basketball in his background – in fact, in college he was a three sport star, also playing football and track. Coming out of a tiny college, though, not much was expected of him in the pros.

Shannon Sharpe went on to prove the doubters wrong, and tell them all about it. He finished his career as the all time leader among tight ends in receptions, yards and touchdowns. In fact, he was the first tight end ever to pass 10,000 receiving yards (since joined by three others and very likely many more in the future).
