NFL Power Rankings: 30 best TE of all-time
No. 26: Jeremy Shockey, New York Giants / New Orleans Saints / Carolina Panthers
Jeremy Shockey was the ultimate tease at this position. He came out of the University of Miami like a streaking comet, and when he was on the field, he was a matchup nightmare. Offensive coordinators tried all kinds of ways to exploit his talents; defensive coordinators feared his ability to dominate his one-on-one matchups.
Shockey was beset by injuries and off the field distractions, which kept him from climbing higher on this list. He never had a full sixteen game season in his career. But when he was in the lineup, he was a headache for everyone involved. He ended his career with 4 Pro Bowl selections and an All Pro nod.
