29. James Washington in Super Bowl XXVIII

DB, Dallas Cowboys

James Washington put together one of the more complete defensive games in Super Bowl history for the Cowboys. On Jan. 30, 1994 Dallas defeated the Bills en route to their second consecutive championship. Washington caused havoc for Dallas’ defense and the Bills didn’t have an answer for him as he intercepted one pass and forced one fumble on the day.

He also recovered a fumble and returned it for a touchdown. What’s most remarkable about Washington’s day is that he recorded an impressive elven total tackles as well. There was nothing he couldn’t do on the biggest stage, although he came up short in the MVP voting to teammate Emmitt Smith. Still, his day was one of the best defensive games in league history in the Super Bowl and he should be remembered.
