Ranking the 30 most dominant individual performances in Super Bowl history
By Daniel
24. Tom Brady in Super Bowl XXXVIII
QB, New England Patriots
You knew that a quarterback that has won three Super Bowls was bound to crack this list at some point. Tom Brady’s play on Feb. 1, 2004 was good enough to do just that. Against the Panthers he threw for an impressive 354 yards with three touchdown passes. Yes, he did throw one interception, but the Pats still pulled out the victory.
Brady led his team down the field to get in position to win the game on the leg of Adam Vinatieri when the game was tied 29-29 with just over a minute to play. His stoicism was on display in this game and this game helped turn himself into a living legend in Foxborough. This was his second Super Bowl MVP, but it was, in my opinion, his finest game on the biggest stage. He’s heading back to the big game on Sunday, but not without controversy.
