Pro Bowl

The NFL Pro Bowl is certainly not the marquee event it is made out to be by some media outlets. Of course, whichever network has the game (this year ESPN) is going to pimp the game as much as it can. The Monday Night Football crew of Mike Tirico, Jon Gruden and Lisa Salters called the action this year, which this year was unusually held at the same site as the Super Bowl. Here is some important pre-Pro Bowl game info taken from Wikipedia.

"The game will continue the “unconferenced” format that was debuted in the 2014 Pro Bowl. This will be the third time that the game will take place in the same site as that year’s Super Bowl. It will be the sixth consecutive year where the Pro Bowl will take place prior to the Super Bowl."

Team Irvin knocked off Team Carter 32-28 on Sunday evening in the desert. Matthew Stafford threw for 316 yards and two touchdowns, which was good enough to earn him Offensive MVP for the game.

J.J. Watt won Defensive MVP for the game, completing yet another amazing season, one which will likely end with the defensive player of the year award.

The other 2014 phenom, Odell Beckham, Jr. made a diving catch that had Twitter buzzing. For a more in-depth review of the game, click here.
