Entertainment (Dining, Bars, etc.)

One of the cache elements of the Super Bowl is the nightlife, including dining and bars/night clubs. Of course, the greater Phoenix area is not devoid of quality in all areas. If you’re young and looking for an inexpensive time, head out to Tempe, home of Arizona State University.

There are some great spots for affordable food, and at the least you’ll probably see a couple (or a hundred) drunk college kids doing something stupid.

That may not be your thing, though. Fleming’s Steakhouse is known as a comparable option Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse. It is located in Peoria, a short drive from Glendale, depending on traffic. Don’t take my word for it, though. Download this link for a list of Glendale restaurants (by the way Glendale is known for restaurants as it has one of the nation’s prominent culinary institutes).

And search a bit for yourself, if you’re not happy with what you’ve found. There’s no need to necessarily limit yourself just to Glendale. Phoenix is relatively easy area to get around, at least when there’s not much traffic.

And if you are in the area with your kids, please take the time to check out the NFL Experience. I had friends in New Orleans who took their kids and said it was an unforgettable experience for them. The link also contains more ideas for things to do in the Phoenix area.
