3) Troy Aikman, Dallas Cowboys, Super Bowl XXVII

The enormous fan contingent of “America’s Team” had to be counting down until an Aikman appearance.

Here you go.

The current FOX analyst and legendary Dallas gun-slinger earned MVP honors in a 52-17 blowout over the Buffalo Bills, and he was worthy of that selection. Aikman finished the night with four touchdown passes and no interceptions, and he completed more than 70% of his passes while accumulating 273 yards in a 35-point blowout.

To be fair, this was a total team victory for the Cowboys, and that roster was as loaded as any in NFL history. Still, Aikman was the steady hand for this particular edition, and his 140.7 quarterback rating tells the story of just how potent he was on January 31, 1993 in the Rose Bowl.
