Super Bowl 49: Top 15 quarterback performances all-time
By Brad Rowland
15) Terry Bradshaw, Pittsburgh Steelers – Super Bowl XIII
Terry Bradshaw has four Super Bowl rings, and as such, he receives an incredible amount of respect with regard to his career. Still, he was more of an ancillary part in terms of Pittsburgh’s success throughout a career where he threw 212 touchdowns against 210 interceptions, and that has to mentioned in his football obituary.
Super Bowl XIII was certainly his best performance, however, and it cracks the list, albeit at the very end. In the course of a 35-31 win over the Dallas Cowboys, Bradshaw was forced to attempt 30 passes (easily his most in a Super Bowl), and he connected on 17 of them for 318 yards and four touchdowns.
Bradshaw’s completion percentage (56.7%) is the lowest of any player on this list, but you can’t argue with 300-plus yards and four touchdowns on only 30 attempts, especially when considering the time period. Terry Bradshaw probably wasn’t as good as you thought he was (if you are under the age of 35, at least), but he was very effective in Super Bowl XIII.
