<p>Bill Polian began his career as a scout for the Kansas City Chiefs in 1978 but made his first big splash in the NFL when he was the general manager for the Buffalo Bills from 1986-1993. He was the executive of the year twice during his tenure with the Bills and built the roster that went to the Super Bowl a record four straight years.</p> <p>After he was fired from the Bills after they lost their third straight Super Bowl he was named the general manager of the expansion franchise Carolina Panthers and took them to the NFC Championship Game in only their second year of existence.</p> <p>He parlayed his success with the Panthers into the general manager and team president role with the Indianapolis Colts where he drafted Peyton Manning with his first draft pick with the organization. His Colts teams were built through the draft with Edgerrin James, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne and Dwight Freeney notable Polian picks.</p> <p>Polian spent 32 years in NFL front offices and his contributions resulted in five Super Bowl appearances.</p>.
