Joey Mbu, Defensive Tackle – Houston Cougars

Mbu is a throwback, space-eating, giant sized defensive tackle. Coming in a 6-foot-3 and 315 pounds, he’s got the size to clog up the defensive line that a lot of teams look for.

With his big size, Mbu isn’t the quickest player, and he’s not as agile as some of the DTs in this year’s draft, so he’s not going to be looked at by teams who are trying to find a pass rusher. However, with his strength and 34.5 inch arms, he’d be an ideal candidate for teams who use a 3-4 scheme that want a big strong nose tackle.

He’s a great form tackler, and sheds blocks easily with his strength, so against the run you’d be happy to see Joey Mbu standing on your defensive line.
