2015 NFL Draft: 8 under-the-radar prospects to watch
Ibraheim Campbell, Strong Safety – Northwestern Wildcats
Northwestern has certainly increased its stock as a football school in recent years, but still isn’t the first Big Ten program most teams look at when scouring for talent. But Ibraheim Campbell is a solid defensive back who has played both safety positions and could be one of the most undervalued strong safeties in the draft.
Campbell has been clocked at an average of 4.55 on the 40-yard dash, but it’s his ball hawk skills that have impressed scouts so far.
In this year’s Senior Bowl Campbell made several pass breakups on deep passes where he was expected to come in to support the corner, and intercepted Oregon State QB Sean Mannion.
A gutty player known for solid tackling and excellent cover skills, Campbell could wind up as a rookie starter on several NFL rosters in need of talent in the secondary.
