Lorenzo Mauldin, Linebacker – Louisville Cardinals

Louisville’s defense has been known to be one of the best in the last few years, and Lorenzo Mauldin played a big part in that perception.

Mauldin played a lot of defensive end at Louisville, but is being looked at as an outside linebacker prospect in the draft. Honestly, at 6’4 and 256 pounds, he could probably do either. He’s been compared to players like Missouri’s Markus Golden, and may be even a little more athletic.

If your team is looking to develop a pass rush specialist either from the end or the linebacker spot, Mauldin might be a great pickup in a later round. He can play from the snap with one hand on the ground or standing up with equal comfort.

He finished his 3-year career at Louisville with 107 tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss, 21 sacks and four forced fumbles.
