Jake Ryan, Linebacker – Michigan Wolverines

While Michigan’s program has been struggling of late, there are still some potential draft picks that shouldn’t be overlooked in Ann Arbor. There’s a lot of depth at linebacker in this draft, but grabbing Jake Ryan in the fourth or fifth round is a wise use of a pick.

He’s primarily an outside linebacker with a nose for the ball, and the quickness to play on the other side of the line of scrimmage. He was one of the Big Ten leaders in tackles for loss, and finished his career at Michigan with 31 of them.

At 6’3 and 238 pounds, Ryan is tall and long, with great quickness and lateral movement ability. He might not be an every-down player early on, but could be developed into both a run and pass scheme OLB.
